"All quarrels in the name of religion are absurd. Wise people ought to clear up the misunderstandings of common people and establish their inter-religious friendship and teach concordance of all religions. Notions of superiority and inferiority, importance and significance do not arise once people truly become friends."

The group of Khalifa’s of His Holiness were great scholars, Sufis and Saints, who loved him and implemented his teachings with full vigour. They said:

"May Allah the most Compassionate with their favours blessed us all and lead us in their path to whom He has favoured. Ameen!"

His Holiness principles in issuing Khilafat Namas to his disciples were:

  1. Must be a person who practises the doings of the Prophet (SAW). (Sunnat)
  2. He would enjoin the right and forbid what is wrong and call people towards it.
  3. A deputy (Khalifa) should be a scholarly saint.
  4. A Khalifa should remain in public and work for God. (Allah Tala)
  5. Without humility and simplicity, work may not prosper.
  6. Keep oneself aloof from the riches and ostentations of the world.
  7. Khilafat not to link with the riches and jagirs.

Hazrat Fakhruddin Zardari (R.A) was his disciple and chief secretary who presented the list of Khilafat Namas to His Holiness. When he listed the name of Hazrat Akhi Siraj (R.A) for Khilafat, His Holiness refused but later on making him perfect, he was sent to Bengal.

It is of interest to note that the instructions given to Hazrat Shamsuddin Yahya (R.A) by His Holiness in his Khilafat Nama were:

"Wali, remain always united with Allah Tala (God). He is the true preacher of Allah Tala (God) who unite people towards Almighty Allah and distance them from evil. This is the pillar of Islam."

"Tradition also says that those are the best friends of Allah Tala (God) who unite the broken heart of the creatures (human beings) and forbid them from evil. Force them towards right path. I remain testimony to dearest Shamsuddin, son of Mohd Yahya in perseverance of his duties in Islamic way of life, engrossed himself in the name of Almighty Allah and remains secluded from the ostentations of the material world."

"I depute him as my successor and make him a descendant in Chishti Order."

His Holiness wrote the following lines in Khilafat Nama of Hazrat Qazi Mohiuddin Kashani (R.A) as under:

"Disinclined the world and its perish Zenith. Turn towards Almighty Allah (God). Never incline to the world and its pompous men."
